Today, many of us noticed a large influx of new followers to our Twitter accounts and wondered about the sudden increase in activity. According to an article posted on Fishwreck:

Late yesterday, local Nashville developer 365 Creative released a new Twitter mash-up that quickly generated strong reactions among Nashville users of the Twitter service. Dubbed NashMash, the service allows a Twitter user to follow all the users located in Nashville in one step.

The service has since been turned off "for now" by the developers, but we're curious about your experience and reaction to today's events. How has this service impacted you today? Did you submit your Twitter credentials to follow Nashville? Do you have any thoughts or suggestions for future updates to NashMash?

In order to steer clear of Thanksgiving, Geek Breakfast for November has been moved up to the third Thursday of the month rather than the usual fourth. The Nashville tech/geek community will gather this Saturday at the Sommet Center for the second annual BarCamp Nashville. Building on last year's success, this year's event broadens the opportunities for participation with four simultaneous presentation rooms, an expo hall to meet sponsors and grab refreshments, a cafe for "birds of a feather" meet-ups, and a bar for, you know, acquiring social lubricant.

And to further the networking opportunities, there will be After BarCamp Events, including a downtown pub crawl and discounted tickets for the Predators hockey game.

If you have an interest in new media, social networking, web applications, online marketing or anything kinda techie in Nashville, then you should be at BarCamp this weekend. Registration is free. Anyone can sign up to speak. And you can check out some of the topics on the website.
